Atlanta based developer PBA Holdings sought approval for Project Tango, a data center and warehouse campus on 202 acres along Southern Boulevard west of Loxahatchee Groves in northern Palm Beach County. After the plan was scaled back from an original 3.7 million square feet to about 1 million square feet of data center space amid community outcry, county commissioners voted 5 to 1 on July 16, 2026, after a hearing that ran more than 12 hours, to deny the application without prejudice, meaning it can be revised and refiled. Commissioners also advanced a countywide moratorium and new hyperscale data center regulations for a first reading in late August 2026.
