What this site is
Is a Data Center Coming? tracks publicly reported data center projects, rate cases and related filings, and shows you what we have found within 25 miles of an address you enter. We build this from public records, government filings, local news coverage and utility filings.
The information can be wrong or stale
Filings move, get withdrawn, get renamed, or get filed under a different entity than the one that eventually builds something. Megawatt figures, cooling types, hearing dates and rate figures come from whatever was published at the time we last checked and can be outdated, incomplete or simply wrong. A missing result does not mean nothing is happening in an area; it means we have not found a public record of it yet.
Estimates are not advice
Bill impact, noise and water figures on this site are rough models built from public rate filings and published research, stated as ranges, not guarantees. They are not financial, legal, engineering or real estate advice, and should not be the only thing you rely on for a decision about your home, your utility bill or a property purchase. Confirm anything that matters to you against the primary source we link to, or with the utility or local government directly.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any electric utility, developer, operator, government agency or public service commission named on this site. Utility and company names are used to identify the filings and projects we describe.

Do not scrape, crawl or systematically extract data from this site with automated tools, and do not run automated or bulk queries against the address search, the alert form or the lead form. If you want the underlying data for legitimate reuse, email us and ask.
Lead form consent
If you submit the battery or solar quote form, you are agreeing to the consent language shown on that form at the time you submit it, including that Is a Data Center Coming? and its installer partners may contact you about the request.
