Small modular reactor developer Deep Atomic has proposed what it calls the nation's first fully integrated nuclear powered AI data center campus at the Idaho National Laboratory near Idaho Falls, working with a consortium including Parker Tide, Clayco, Gleeds, Paragon Energy Solutions, EvapCo Dry Cooling, and MoonliteAI. The plan centers on Deep Atomic's MK60 light water small modular reactor, rated at 60 megawatts of electricity and 200 megawatts of thermal output, paired with dry cooling and backed up by grid, geothermal, and solar power, with a stated goal of beginning data center operations within 24 to 36 months. As of the most recent reporting this remains a proposal to the Department of Energy rather than an approved or under construction project.
