Blue Ladder Development has proposed a data center on a roughly 322-acre site near U.S. 24 and County Road 1100 West outside Wolcott in White County, within the Mid-America Commerce Park, planned to use closed-loop dry cooling with no water use. The White County Area Plan Commission approved rezoning just over 184 acres of the site in 2025, but neighbors Bart and Amy Snyder sued, and on October 16, 2026 White Circuit Court Judge Jason Thompson reversed that rezoning after finding the approval process had skipped required notarized property-owner letters and a site plan. Blue Ladder said it is not done pursuing a data center on the property, meaning the county or applicants could still seek to refile a compliant rezoning application.
