TeraWulf is developing about 285 acres within the EastPark industrial area of Boyd County, on the border with Greenup County, as the Muskie Data Campus for bitcoin mining and AI computing, with an initial 500 megawatts expected in the second half of 2028 and another 500 megawatts targeted for 2030. The company's chairman has since told investors it is looking to roughly double that to as much as 2 gigawatts and accelerate parts of the timeline. Boyd County Fiscal Court approved a six month moratorium on new data centers but exempted the EastPark Industrial Park, leaving the Muskie project unaffected; the site is tied to a planned 345 kilovolt substation connecting into the regional transmission network.
