Western Hospitality Partners originally proposed a 6 billion dollar, eight building, 2.5 million square foot data center campus called Project Lincoln on 267 acres at 3557 North Highway 53 outside La Grange in Oldham County. After heavy local opposition, a deputy judge executive being fired over a secretly recorded meeting with the developer, and a 150 day county moratorium adopted July 2, 2025, the company withdrew that application and proposed a smaller, roughly 1.5 billion dollar version on an 88 acre industrial zoned site off D.W. Griffith Lane about five miles south. The company has said it worked with community leaders on the new site, and a first building was targeted for operation by October 2026.
