Geronimo Power proposed the Nobles County Powered Data Park, a 400 to 450 megawatt data center on about 640 acres between the towns of Brewster and Reading in southwestern Minnesota, paired with new wind, solar, and battery generation the company already operates nearby. The Nobles County Board rejected the zoning change the project needed in April 2026. Geronimo Power had pitched the proposal as a farmer friendly, community focused approach, and it is unclear whether the company will pursue a revised plan or a different site in the county.
