Crusoe won unanimous approval from the Warrenton Board of Aldermen for a conditional use permit and site plan for a two building, roughly 1.65 million square foot data center campus near NW Service Road, on about 340 acres, plus a 75 percent personal property tax abatement. The campus will use a closed loop cooling system that Crusoe says will use only about 120,000 gallons of water a year. The company plans an 8.3 billion dollar first phase in 2027 and a second phase in 2028, and expects roughly 2,500 construction jobs and 100 permanent tech jobs.
