Is a Data Center Coming

Sioux County, IA

PathOne Data Center (Former Bison Plant Site)

PathOne Data Centers. On hold. 10 MW.

PathOne Data Centers and Sunstone Investments want to build a roughly 40,000 square foot, 10 megawatt data center on the old Bison Plant site about two miles southwest of Hull, with room to grow toward 25 megawatts. Sioux County put a one year moratorium on new data centers in place, and developers told the county an end user had already been lined up before that happened. PathOne held a public meeting in Hull on August 25, 2026 even though the moratorium was still in effect.

What it would mean nearby

The cooling design has not been reported. If it uses evaporative cooling, a 10 MW facility would draw roughly 32,000 to 114,000 gallons of water a day, about what 400 households use.
