100 Jersey Avenue Data Center (New Brunswick, denied)

Operator not disclosed. Denied

A still undisclosed developer, with the underlying parcels controlled by Florida based Amzak Capital Management, had proposed a 27,000 square foot data center at 100 Jersey Avenue within the Jersey-Sandford Redevelopment Plan Area in New Brunswick. After city officials disclosed the plan and hundreds of residents packed a February 18, 2026 hearing over concerns about electricity and water costs, the New Brunswick City Council voted unanimously to amend the redevelopment plan to remove data centers as a permitted use. The site is now slated to proceed with its earlier planned redevelopment of about 600 apartments, small business space, and a public park instead.
