Keel Infrastructure, formerly Bitfarms, is converting a six acre former bitcoin mining site in Moses Lake into an 18 megawatt AI and high performance computing data center, after the City of Moses Lake issued a conditional use permit for a data center and server farm of up to 100,000 square feet in January 2026. Mining operations ended in April 2026, the old mining building was demolished, and construction under Grant County PUD power began in June 2026 with a target of having the site ready for service in 2027. Keel has committed roughly 128 million dollars to a turnkey buildout with Vertiv for the equipment and engineering work.
