STACK Infrastructure's SVY03A campus on Production Avenue in Hayward is a roughly 300,000 square foot data center that the Hayward Planning Commission unanimously approved in May 2025, including a taller building in exchange for a 2 million dollar public benefits package. STACK's approval predates a separate, later push by Hayward's own council to ban future data centers after residents raised concerns about noise and power use from projects like it. The city also rewrote its zoning code in early 2026 so any future data center of 50 megawatts or more needs full council approval, not just planning commission sign off.
