Undisclosed Yuma-area data center interest (no filed project)
Operator not disclosed. Rumored.
No specific data center project had entered Yuma's formal review process as of mid-2026, but city officials and the Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation confirmed at least three unnamed developers were scouting desert land in the area, drawn by transmission capacity tied to proposed new natural gas pipelines. Residents packed an April 2026 informational session with concerns about water use, since Yuma relies almost entirely on the shrinking Colorado River for its supply.
