Atlanta based Beltline Energy has proposed a roughly 400 acre data center near the OG&E Red Bud power plant in Luther, one of several sites the company is pursuing along the same transmission corridor as related proposals in Piedmont and Yukon. Beltline asked Luther officials to sign a non disclosure agreement about the project, which the town board did not approve, and the town later adopted a moratorium on new data centers through the end of 2026, effectively pausing the proposal.
