Google is building its first Arkansas data center on a 1,100 acre site at 1500 South Loop Drive in West Memphis, near the Mississippi River, as part of a 4 billion dollar investment through 2027. Construction began in October 2025 and is expected to take 18 to 24 months, with a core campus of 580 acres planned to eventually hold five hyperscale buildings plus offices and a major utility substation. A staff memo to the Arkansas Public Service Commission put the site's maximum power demand at up to 600 megawatts, and Google is working with Entergy Arkansas on the 600 megawatt Cypress Solar facility and battery storage to help supply it.
