Lambda Data Center (MidAmerica Industrial Park)

Lambda. Rumored.

AI cloud computing company Lambda announced on September 27, 2026 plans to build a data center in the south section of the 9,000 acre MidAmerica Industrial Park near Chouteau in Mayes County, within the Chouteau-Mazie school district. The project is projected to generate about 500 million dollars in tax revenue over 10 years and create up to 1,000 construction jobs and 100 permanent jobs; Lambda says it will pay 100 percent of its own energy costs under Oklahoma's Data Center Customer Ratepayer Protection Act and use closed loop cooling to limit water use. No site plan, megawatt figure, or permitting filing had been made public as of early October 2026, and site preparation work was reportedly getting underway through park developer Cloverleaf Infrastructure.
