Lightedge Boone Business Park Colocation Facility
Lightedge Solutions. Rumored.
The Boone County Economic Growth Corporation signed a letter of intent with Lightedge Solutions LLC for a colocation data center on about 10 acres in the Boone Business Park, inside Boone city limits. No tax incentives were sought and the facility would use closed loop cooling, but Lightedge is also still weighing other Central Iowa sites, so the location is not finalized. This is a smaller colocation project separate from the unnamed hyperscale proposal that prompted Boone County's September 9, 2026 moratorium on new data centers in unincorporated parts of the county.
