Project Jupiter is a hyperscale AI data center campus of four buildings under construction in Santa Teresa, Dona Ana County, along NM-136 near the Santa Teresa Port of Entry, developed by STACK Infrastructure with BorderPlex Digital Assets and leased to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for OpenAI's Stargate program. Construction began in September 2025 with initial operations targeted for late 2026, and the companies have committed to invest up to 165 billion dollars over 30 years and give Dona Ana County 50 million dollars for water and wastewater infrastructure. A nonprofit and two residents sued the county over its approval of a 165 billion dollar industrial revenue bond and tax rebate package, and the New Mexico State Land Office separately denied a right of way for a gas pipeline serving the project before federal land managers approved an alternate route.
