The flagship Stargate campus east of Abilene is being built by Crusoe Energy for OpenAI and Oracle. About four of eight planned buildings are already housing Nvidia chips and running, with the rest of the 1.2 GW target campus still under construction.
Crusoe said it is working with Microsoft to build two new AI factory buildings plus an on-site power plant next to its existing OpenAI and Oracle campus in Abilene. This followed OpenAI and Oracle scaling back their own planned expansion of the flagship Stargate site.
