AWS redeveloped a 730,000 square foot former industrial building in the Clinton Industrial Park into its fourth Mississippi data center, opening in June 2026 with over 100 expected jobs. AWS said the facility does not use water coolants.

Entergy says Amazon is paying for its own substations and a larger share of new generation, but key details of the deal are shielded by nondisclosure agreements.
