Amazon Web Services is building large data centers in Madison County and Rankin County, Mississippi, served by Entergy Mississippi. A 2024 Mississippi law let this kind of large customer contract move forward without full Mississippi Public Service Commission review, and it bars the commission from later changing the contract's terms, including how infrastructure costs are shared between Amazon and other ratepayers.
