EdgeConneX New Albany Business Park Expansion (PowerConneX III)

EdgeConneX. Filed

EdgeConneX has applied to the Ohio Power Siting Board (case 26-361-EL-BGN) to build the 450 megawatt PowerConneX New Albany 3 natural gas power plant on about 170 acres on Harrison Road, between Mink Street and Clover Valley Road in the New Albany International Business Park, to serve a planned 1.3 million square foot, four data hall facility on the same site. A public hearing on the plant is scheduled for October 22, 2026 at New Albany High School, with an adjudicatory hearing to follow starting November 4, 2026; opponents have raised concerns about air emissions, wetland fill, and tree removal. PowerConneX, an EdgeConneX-affiliated entity owned by EQT Partners, already operates or is building two earlier New Albany gas plants (PowerConneX I and II) that serve other data centers on EdgeConneX sites in the area.
