The Conway City Council approved a memorandum of understanding with a Delaware registered company called Forgelight Ventures for a 300,000 square foot, 1 billion dollar data center along the Arkansas River on Lollie Road, expected to create about 50 jobs. Reporting found that Forgelight, like the Willowbend Capital entity behind the competing Port of Little Rock proposal, is managed or organized by the same registered agent, Michael Montfort, fueling speculation the two cities were courting the same undisclosed technology company. As of this writing the developer behind Forgelight had not been publicly confirmed the way Google was confirmed for the Little Rock site.
