JPMorganChase is building a second data center building on its existing campus on the former Rockland County Psychiatric Center property at 140 Old Orangeburg Road in Orangetown, with the Rockland County Industrial Development Agency approving roughly 77 million dollars in sales tax exemptions for construction materials and equipment in April 2026. The subsidy became a flashpoint locally because the project is expected to create just one new permanent job in exchange for the tax break. Construction is underway, and JPMorganChase has said it expects the facility to be complete by 2028.
