Holt Economic Opportunity Park Data Center (Lighthouse Sustainability / LEAP)
Lighthouse Sustainability. Rumored, 700 MW
The Lansing Economic Area Partnership and Colorado based developer Lighthouse Sustainability announced in late October 2026 that they are exploring a data center as large as 700 megawatts, with some reporting citing a ceiling near 1 gigawatt, on 423 acres at the Holt Economic Opportunity Park off College Road in Delhi Charter Township, south of Lansing. No end user has been identified and no formal development application has been filed, with the partnership describing this as the start of a community engagement process rather than a specific project. Delhi Township officials said they first learned of the plan through the public announcement, ended the township's membership in the Lansing Economic Area Partnership on October 28, 2026, and on October 30, 2026 the township Board of Trustees voted 6 to 0 for a resolution formally opposing any data center in the township and calling on the developers to stop pursuing the site. The township has had a 12 month moratorium on data center applications in place since April 2026, extending through April 2027, so no formal proposal could advance even if the developers continue.

What it would mean nearby
The cooling design has not been reported. If it uses evaporative cooling, a 700 MW facility would draw roughly 2.2 million to 8.0 million gallons of water a day, about what 25,500 households use.
