Project Sail

Prologis (filed as Atlas Development LLC). Approved. 900 MW.

Fortune 500 developer Prologis, through Atlas Development LLC, is behind Project Sail, a nine building, 4.3 million square foot data center campus planned to use about 900 megawatts on roughly 829 acres at Wagers Mill Road and Welcome Sargent Road in Coweta County, inside a state designated Most Significant Groundwater Recharge Area near the Chattahoochee. Coweta commissioners approved the rezoning from rural conservation to industrial 3-2 on April 8, 2026, despite an 8,000 signature petition from the group Citizens for Rural Coweta. On May 5, 2026 a group of residents sued in Coweta County Superior Court seeking to overturn the rezoning, and the case was still pending as of mid May 2026.

What it would mean nearby

The cooling design has not been reported. If it uses evaporative cooling, a 900 MW facility would draw roughly 2.9 million to 10.3 million gallons of water a day, about what 32,800 households use.

Oglethorpe Power, which generates most of the electricity Georgia's EMCs sell, is adding natural gas plants it ties to data center and industrial load. EMC rates are set by each cooperative's board, not the Public Service Commission, so watch your EMC's rate notices.
