Rhea Energy, a subsidiary of Nevada based Arevia Power, has applied to the Bureau of Land Management's Four Rivers Field Office to build a roughly 4 million square foot, 600 megawatt data center on up to 3,700 acres of public land near Blacks Creek Reservoir south of Kuna, along the Ada and Elmore county line. The plan includes an on site natural gas power plant, rated at about 450 megawatts, to supplement grid power, plus a possible future solar farm near Twin Falls. After the BLM found the initial fall 2025 application incomplete, Rhea Data resubmitted a revised application in spring 2026, and an environmental review and public scoping process are now underway, with the Idaho chapter of the Sierra Club and local residents raising concerns about water, energy demand, and the reservoir's bird habitat.
