A 2.8 billion dollar, roughly 450 megawatt data center with an on site gas power plant under construction on the former Kohler site. It faces a Southern Environmental Law Center lawsuit over its approval and a Public Service Commission dispute over whether the power plant needs a siting certificate. The county's proposed moratorium would not stop this already underway project.

This is separate from the countywide one year data center moratorium, which Spartanburg County Council was still set to take up on third reading around September 21, 2026.
