Cologix Johnstown Campus

Cologix. Filed. 800 MW.

Cologix announced an eight-building, roughly 800 megawatt campus in Johnstown spanning about 154 acres and two million square feet, part of a combined 1.1 billion dollar initial investment with a companion campus in Orange Township. The company describes it as a multi-year buildout expected to bring 90 new direct jobs to central Ohio. A citizen petition qualified for a Johnstown charter amendment banning data centers over a combined 25 megawatts of demand; the city set a special election for January 5, 2027 after the signatures came in too late for the November 2026 ballot.

What it would mean nearby

The cooling design has not been reported. If it uses evaporative cooling, a 800 MW facility would draw roughly 2.5 million to 9.1 million gallons of water a day, about what 29,200 households use.
