Core Scientific Dalton 2
Core Scientific. Under construction. 145 MW.
Dalton 2, part of Core Scientific's existing high density campus at 2205 Industrial South Road, is a 145 megawatt, 250,000 square foot AI data center building with vertical construction underway as of early 2026 and full delivery targeted for early 2027. It sits alongside the company's older, already operating Dalton 1 building on the same campus, and both draw power from municipal utility Dalton Utilities, whose local peak load has roughly doubled since data centers arrived in the county.

What it would mean nearby
The cooling design has not been reported. If it uses evaporative cooling, a 145 MW facility would draw roughly 460,000 to 1.7 million gallons of water a day, about what 5,300 households use.
MEAG Power supplies the city owned utilities and expects data center load on its system to roughly double within about five years. City utility rates are set by each city, not the Public Service Commission.
