What it would mean nearby

The cooling design has not been reported. If it uses evaporative cooling, a 142 MW facility would draw roughly 450,000 to 1.6 million gallons of water a day, about what 5,200 households use.

MEAG Power supplies the city owned utilities and expects data center load on its system to roughly double within about five years. City utility rates are set by each city, not the Public Service Commission.
