Project Trainer (Link Logistics)
Link Logistics. Rumored.
Link Logistics is exploring a data center, referred to locally as Project Trainer, on a 24.4 acre site at 4001 Ridge Road in Trainer Borough, Delaware County, about 100 feet from nearby rowhouses and near the Monroe Energy refinery. In August 2026 Link Logistics' attorney requested, and Trainer Borough's zoning officer granted, a preliminary favorable zoning determination for a data center at the site, while neighboring Lower Chichester Township said in July 2026 that a data center use was not permitted under its current zoning. As of late September 2026, Trainer Borough said no formal data center application had been filed.

What it would mean nearby
The order is meant to keep new data centers from pushing their power costs onto residential electric bills by requiring developers to pay for all of their own electricity. This does not change anyone's electric rate directly, but it is meant to stop the cost of new substations and power lines built for data centers from being added to everyone else's bill. This is the overall statewide trend behind the individual utility price to compare increases: the average Pennsylvania household's total electric bill grew by roughly a fifth between 2024 and 2026.
