Project Oak
Operator not disclosed. Filed.
An undisclosed developer has proposed Project Oak, a six building, roughly 895,530 square foot data center campus on about 455 acres near Walt Sanders Road in the Madras community of Coweta County. A 255 acre industrial-zoned portion was rezoned from rural conservation in April 2024, but as of mid August 2026 the overall project was still not finalized. Coweta County commissioners are scheduled to hold a public hearing and possible vote on August 25, 2026, and a resident group called Stop Project Oak has organized in opposition over noise, water use of about 28,000 gallons a day, and traffic on Walt Sanders Road.
