The Coweta County Board of Commissioners unanimously denied the Project Oak rezoning request at its August 25, 2026 hearing on the Walt Sanders Road property in the Madras community. The developer had sought to remove a 2024 zoning condition limiting the 255 acre industrial-zoned portion to office and warehouse use so a data center could be built instead. County procedure requires the applicant to wait six months before reapplying.
