Filed MW not reported Aurora

Vantage Data Centers wants to build Trident, a two story, 1.5 million square foot data center on 108 acres at the northwest corner of E-470 and East 48th Avenue in Aurora, next to the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. Vantage applied to the city on August 25, 2025, and as of September 2026 the project was in its third round of city review with no public hearing yet held, which is possible because data centers are allowed by right in the site's industrial zoning. Green Valley Ranch residents say they only learned of the plan recently and have raised concerns about noise, emissions, and water use, prompting Aurora's council to consider new setback and buffer rules.

Filed MW not reported Brighton Hearing Oct 6, 2026

An undisclosed data center developer, represented by planning firm Dewberry, has filed a rezoning application for a campus of eight two story buildings totaling about 2.5 million square feet near County Road 4 and 50th Avenue in northeast Brighton. Residents in the area say they only recently discovered the proposal, and the city, which currently has no specific zoning rules for data centers, has not yet held a public hearing on the rezoning. Brighton's city council was scheduled to consider a 90 day moratorium on new data center applications on October 6, 2026, while officials study water demand and other impacts.
