A rezoning proposal for the Forest Lane Data Center would cover nearly 845 acres near the intersection of Kings Highway and Forest Lane in Stafford's George Washington election district. It is one of 11 data center applications the county is reviewing as of mid-2026.
The Stafford Board of Supervisors voted 4-3 on July 7, 2026 to defer a three-building data center and substation proposal after a family cemetery with headstones was found on the property. The deferral runs to October 31, 2026 to allow an archaeological investigation.
